CNC主軸馬達轉速

各位前輩好，

1.我想請教的問題是，為何「主軸馬達」需要強調高轉速呢，以傳統車床來說，不是能藉由齒輪或是其他傳動機構，將「主軸」轉速提高嗎?

2.是因為基於成本、機械強度、轉矩......等何種考量下，主軸馬達轉速需要高呢?
