【綜合報導】美國與澳洲官員今天說，澳洲與美國海軍聯合潛水團隊在小心翼翼的深海行動中，尋獲美軍訓練演習中投擲到大堡礁的2枚炸彈，但另2枚無爆藥的BDU-45空包彈，因「潛水條件險惡」，將持續留在海床上。

美軍今年7月中旬在澳洲大堡礁演習時，因2架AV-8B型鷂式垂直起降戰鬥機燃料不足，不得已把機上炸彈投擲到大堡礁以利降落，雖然4枚炸彈都是無效彈不會引爆，但很可能會對當地環境造成污染，事件引發環保人士強烈不滿。

如今，澳洲與美國潛水員在浪潮洶湧的2天深海行動中，已將2枚GBU-12雷射導引炸彈的空包彈帶到海面，經安全檢查後，已被送到附近的官方拆彈海灘引爆。而另2枚BDU-45啞彈則將持續留在大堡礁海床。
