NBA選秀會日子越來越近，各路潛力新秀都希望一圓NBA夢。今年待選名單中法國長人Rudy Gobert引起不少話題，甚至得到丹佛金塊中鋒JaVale McGee的類比。
Gobert先天條件相當驚人，今年新秀靜態體測數據中，他站立摸高為9呎7吋，換算成公制約為292.1公分，一舉打破歷年紀錄。
這數字究竟有多誇張呢？NBA和FIBA所規定籃框高度約為304.8公分，因此Gobert只是站著高舉手臂，只差12.7公分就能摸到籃框。
至於身高臂展方面，McGee當初測量結果為，穿鞋後身高為7呎、臂展為7呎6吋，Gobert甚至還更勝一籌，身高7呎2吋、臂展7呎又8.5吋。
目前Gobert正在達拉斯當地，接受前舊金山大學訓練師的特訓，就是後者作出這個比較。但被拿來和McGee相提並論，不僅是因為兩人體型身材類似。
該訓練師表示：「Gobert和McGee十分類似，但技巧卻更純熟。McGee在同樣年紀時，的確體型和力量都較Gobert優秀。但Gobert擁有的技巧就算是現在的McGee也比不上。」
