義大犀牛26日為曼尼提前慶生，包括徐生明總教練及隊長胡金龍等全部球員都戴上99號曼尼招牌辮子頭，球團也送上義大版的曼尼公仔，更偷偷請曼尼的媽媽、老婆及兒子錄製生日祝福，讓曼尼相當開心及感動。

曼尼加盟義大犀牛後，吸引更多球迷加入中華職棒行列，也讓義大犀牛無論在觀眾或收視率都名列前茅。

對於如何留住曼尼，義大犀牛更是處處用心，除食衣住行各項禮遇外，今特別安排全隊一起變裝成曼尼，與他在球場共同慶生，更送上來自美國家人的祝福，與全場球迷提前歡度生日。
