經濟學家被爆偷香水　放棄央行行長提名

【綜合報導】現年70歲的以色列經濟學家弗倫克爾（Jacob Frenkel）因被爆出2006年在香港機場的免稅店內，行李中被發現有一瓶未付款的香水，弗倫克爾昨日宣布放棄中央銀行行長的提名。

弗倫克爾堅稱偷香水事件是一場誤會，稱當時以為同伴已付款。但負責央行行長審議的委員會卻質疑，弗倫克爾刻意隱瞞事實。弗倫克爾是摩根大通國際的主席，上月獲得提名第2度任以色列央行行長，準備接替69歲的世界銀行前總裁費希爾（Stanley Fishcer）。

總理內坦亞胡發表聲明，大挺弗倫克爾，並狠批媒體惡意中傷弗倫克爾。
