摘要：花蓮縣大興村的鐵路陸橋左側，原本有3棵樹齡30年的苦楝樹，許多村民，從小看著這3棵樹長大，有濃厚感情，不過這3棵樹，卻遭到鐵路局人員砍斷2棵，讓地方民眾氣得跳腳，批評鐵路局的手段太粗糙。要求賠償，「以樹換樹」，至少要年齡相近的苦楝樹，種回原位。
