【施旖婕／綜合外電報導】「雜交」在人類社會裡，是負面又不衛生的行為，但在倭猩猩的社會團體裡，可能是愛與和平的表現。

分布在剛果的倭猩猩，其社會組織為母系社會，「女王」當道，而雄性的地位全由雌性決定。科學家表示，若族群間發生衝突，最好的解決方式就是做愛，並以此來維繫族群的和諧。

此外，做愛的對象不僅僅限於異性，同性間也常發生做愛行為，而且對倭猩猩來說，做愛就如同人類的握手一樣，是頻繁又正常的舉動。科學家更指出，倭猩猩性交時是會採取面對面體位，眼睛看著對方，其他如親吻、口交、母猿之間互相摩擦陰部等，都是少見於其他靈長類的行為。

而倭猩猩做愛對象除了母子，年齡和性別都不是問題。當他們找到新的食物來源或良好的棲息地，通常第一件事就是來場大雜交，科學家猜測此舉可以消除壓力和疲勞，讓族群更和諧。
