帶著6分領先進入第四節，面對國王的韌性，火箭優勢坐得並不安穩，結果又再度被追平，林書豪也在此時再度換上場。

林書豪接在James Harden的3分打攻勢後面，在左路跳投得手拿下2分，火箭又將差距拉開到5分，接著兩人輪流取分，但他們也止不住Isaiah Thomas進攻上帶來的威脅。

後來在Harden投籃中後，火箭104比101領先，兩隊輪流喊出暫停，結果國王DeMarcus Cousins兩度攻籃得手反超火箭，比賽剩下56秒。

暫停過後持球進攻的Harden發生失誤，被DeMarcus Cousins截到球權，並助攻Ben McLemore 上籃，104比107，火箭落後擴大，跟著Isaiah Thomas 又站上罰球線投進1球。

此時時間剩下10秒，火箭喊了短暫停，Harden三分出手落空，Chandler Parsons 對Chandler Parsons犯規，讓他罰進2分，火箭大勢已去，比賽在林書豪灌籃後畫下句點，火箭106比110落敗。
