分隔島凸出 待轉車輛打結

嘉義市友忠路分隔島凸出，轉入慢車道的機慢車，常與等紅燈車輛卡在一塊。

嘉義市自由路在經過友忠路交叉口後從30米道路擴為90米道路，機慢車需引至機慢車道行駛。居民吳掌筆向前立委、現台灣嘉義社社長涂醒哲反映，指友忠路分隔島太凸出，連帶造成停止線、待轉區與轉往自由路慢車道的車輛路線重疊，常造成交通打結，建議將分隔島、停止線一併後縮，留給機車族較寬廣、安全的空間。

嘉義市府交通處指出，若把分隔島往後挪，恐讓從自由路往友忠路待轉的機車迴轉角度增大，讓機車騎士更不便。將評估把現有的垂直式停止線改為階梯式停止線，待轉區隨之位移。並將自由路黃燈延長1、2秒，讓騎士較有餘裕穿越路口。
