〔編譯林翠儀／綜合報導〕日本NEC公司11日宣布新開發的迷你機器人服務業務，明年1月將推出以迷你機器人「PaPeRo petit」陪伴小孩、老人兼看家的服務。

PaPeRo petit高約24公分、重1.3公斤，雖然無法搬運物品也不會跳舞，但它身上裝有麥克風及可感知人體的偵測器，眼睛就是攝影機，具有「看」和「說」的功能，可做為兒童的玩伴和學習對象，或協助高齡者做日程管理、遠端健康諮詢和購物協助等，透過網路設定也能監控非法闖入者。

這項服務每月費用為1萬圓（約台幣2978元），若需其他服務則另行計費。NEC計畫今後3年該部門產值累計可達100億圓，目前正尋求開發機器人應用軟體的合作企業。
